General Information on AMBU Bags:

• Purpose: AMBU bags, or manual resuscitators, are handheld devices used to provide positive pressure ventilation to individuals who are not breathing or are breathing inadequately.​

• Common Sizes:

  • Adult: Typically designed for patients over 30 kg, with bag volumes around 1475 ml.​
  • Pediatric: Intended for children between 10 kg and 30 kg, with bag volumes approximately 635 ml.​
  • Infant/Neonate: Suitable for patients below 10 kg, with bag volumes around 220 ml.​
